- In Premiere go to Edit->Preferences->Audio Hardware and change the Default Input: to None. If this did not help, then go to step 2.
- In Premiere go to File->Project Settings and change the Mercury Playback Engine Renderer from GPU
Acceleration (OpenCL) to Software only. If this did not help then go to step 3. - In Premiere go to Edit -> Preferences -> Media and make sure that the Media Cache Files and Media Cache Location is set to your fastest drive (preferably an SSD drive). If this is already set to your fastest drive then you can click the Clean button for Media Cache Database. If you have an older version of Premiere which does not have the Clean cache button you can manually remove the cache files (on Windows they are located here c:UsersAppDataRoamingAdobeCommon). If this did not help then go to step 4.
- If none of the above did help. Try to install an older version of Adobe Premiere or see if there is an update with a newer version.
NOTE:
If your Windows system drive is full then we also recommend cleaning the junk files with WinSysClean this may speed up your entire computer and the Adobe Premiere workflow.
